I serendipitously discovered Kimberly Wilson and Tranquil Space back in 2000 or 2001, after having taken a Kundalini Yoga class at the beautiful, old Church of the Holy City on 16th Street NW, where Kimberly was also hosting classes. I returned to the church the following week but chose Kimberly's class rather than the Kundalini, and have been a part of the Tranquil Space family from that day onward. I was a part of Tranquil Space's very first teacher training program, and eventually, a part of its faculty. I began teaching at Tranquil Space in May 2002.

In addition to Kimberly, I'm grateful to the many teachers who have inspired and informed my practice over the years: John Schumacher, Sarah Powers, Jenny Otto, and Tias Little, among others. And I'm forever grateful to the many wonderful TS friends, colleagues, and students who have shared their hearts and their yoga practice with me.

Yoga, for me, has always been a means of more fully inhabiting my body, mind, and spirit. I practice to remain grounded and grateful in the midst of whatever life sends my way. I practice to remain awake, aware, and aligned with my "true north." I teach so that I can share the joy of both movement and stillness with others and to help foster a sense of community in our fast-paced and often impersonal world.
