I discovered Tranquil Space in 2002 when my mother was diagnosed with cancer. When she lost her battle two years later, I realized that yoga had come to be so much more than a physical practice; it helped carry me through the most difficult time of my life.

I teach to help my students hold the duality of life -- both joy and pain -- in an effort to experience life in all its fullness. My classes are most often described as nurturing.

I see my work off the mat as deeply interconnected with what I do on the mat; I oversee a leadership development program to help senior leaders of non-profit organizations recognize the strengths that reside within them and to bring those gifts out into the world.

I am the mother of two wild boys and return to my practice over and over again to remind myself of what I share with my students: our breath is a powerful force for bringing us into the present moment, gratitude helps us unlock joy, and each time we get on our mat, we have an opportunity to begin again.
